At the moment, this important event is being managed differently to usual. If you need more information please get in touch with us through the ‘contact us’ page.
Funerals mark the end of a human life on earth.
Such services give an opportunity for us to remember and give thanks to God for the life of those we have loved and cared for, as well as to commit their body to be buried or cremated, and to comfort one another in grief.
A Church of England funeral is available to everyone, whether held in the church building or at the crematorium chapel, as we endeavour to give support before, during and after the service itself. There is wealth of resources to support you during this difficult time.
Church of England Funeral Resources
Often the first contact between those arranging the funeral and the member of clergy taking the funeral service will be made through the Funeral Director.
The member of clergy will then contact those arranging the funeral directly to discuss the practical arrangements for the service, as well as give any other assistance that might be helpful or required.
If you would like any more information about arranging a funeral, perhaps your own, or that of a loved one, please contact our Vicar, Rev Sue Willetts on 01509 215042
