Church has been open throughout lockdown but now the building can be too!
You will be aware that the Government have now lifted restrictions on place of worship being open.
The Vicar, the Church Wardens and the PCC have been working hard to develop an appropriate practice for our particular building, ensuring appropriate risk assessments have been made and that we are able to comply with the restrictions still in place concerning physical distancing, cleaning and caring for each other.
Our Church Wardens and Parochial Church Council are pleased to announce that the Church will now be open for Private Prayer on Fridays from 10am to 12noon, starting on Friday 10 July 2020.
A team of stewards will enable this to happen and visitors will be asked to comply with any notices and directions, including hand sanitisation. If you might wish to use a Bible or prayer book, then please bring your own copy. Numbers and time in church will be limited to allow for the cleaning procedures that are necessary.
People will be asked to give their name, address and phone number for tracking purposes in case they or somebody else attending becomes ill and, whilst every precaution will be taken by the Church, please ensure you employ your own measures for your own safety.
We are aware that some people may not feel that it is yet an appropriate time for them to come back to the building for health or shielding reasons. For any further information please contact either of our Churchwardens, Ed Grainger on 822547 or Nuhad Aboulela on 266977 or our Vicar, Rev Sue Willetts on 215042.
We hope to have another evening session for private prayer soon, and in due course we will open for limited corporate worship too.
