Easter Sunday

The first thing to say has to be HAPPY EASTER!

I hope that in this is very unusual Holy Week and Easter season you have been able to meet with God as we have reflected together through the week and as we prepare to celebrate Easter Day tomorrow.

Here we have special service leaflet, my sermon and two mp3 muisc files which I hope that you will be able to play on your computer, laptop or tablet, even a smart phone! They are part of a national iniative from Churches Together in Britain and Ireland, to get us singing our Easter worship on Sunday as a nation.

Watch out next week for a mission focus for our prayers as well other opportunities to find ways of praying that perhaps we haven’t tried before and for a new sermon series.

Can I also encourage you to look at the Messy Church page of our website and point any families you know to it. It has lots of activities to help keep children occupied as well as reflect on the Easter story.

I would also like to make a special THANK YOU to the Pastoral Care Team who are looking after us all, making sure that we are ok.

The bible verse on my desk for today says this:
I myself will tend my sheep and cause them to lie down in peace, says the …Lord. I will search for my lost ones who strayed away, and I will bring them safely home again. I will bind up the injured and strengthen the weak.
Ezekiel 34.15 – 16 (NLT)

Please be assured of my prayers for you this Easter with this blessing:

May the risen Christ fill you with hope.
May the risen Christ give you joy.
May the risen Christ bring you healing and peace.
May God bless you, Father , Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.
