This is an early morning ‘said’ Communion service using the Book of Common Prayer. This is a quiet space for those who wish for a more traditional form of service.
On the 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays, our 10am service takes the form of Holy Communion from Common Worship. On the 2nd and 4th Sundays, the service is less formal. With some music, activities and a talk, as well as time for prayer.
Each week we focus on particular bible passages to help us in the rest of the week as we live our lives of faith.
Messy Church is a different way of doing church. It started in Britain just 10 years ago and has already spread to over 2000 locations around the world. It’s a great way of bringing families and friends closer together and bringing everyone closer to Jesus.
Messy Church is mainly intended for people who don’t already belong to another form of church, but anyone can come, of any age and at any stage on their journey of faith. There are lots of craft activities, a time of celebration and a shared meal.
This is a time for us to get together and bring the needs of the world, people and the Church to God in prayer. Everyone is very welcome as we explore prayer together.
This service is usually held on the second Sunday of each month and begins at 4pm in the winter and 6pm in the summer – lasting just over 45 minutes whilst we pray together in informal ways.
This is mid-week shortened Holy Communion Service at 9.30am followed by refreshments and an opportunity to chat.
This service attracts people from some of the Sunday congregations, as well as a number of people for whom this is the service they can most easily get to due to work and family commitments.
On Monday and Friday morning at 8.45am, Morning Prayer is said by a small group. This is an opportunity to begin the week and the weekend focusing on God. Everyone is very welcome as we follow this daily office each week.
Breathing Space is our take on the Cafe Church format. Breathing Space is an opportunity to step away from the busyness of everyday life, take time to breathe and consider big questions. Why are we here? Who is God?
Our aim is for this service to have a relaxed and informal café style, which meets once a month on a Sunday afternoon and is easily accessed by those with little or no church background.
Our passion here is for people on the edge so Cafe Church is open to all for good coffee, plenty of cake and conversation with a spiritual theme.
