Prayer is the most important resource available to us. If you would like prayer for yourself or on behalf of someone else we are here for you.
Listening and talking to God is very important in the life of every Christian. This is not only for our own good and well-being, but also as we bring to Him the situations and people around the world that we know need His love and care.
At the Good Shepherd Church, we are currently taking time to pray for our parish street by street, each week.
This is taking some time as our parish grows week by week with all the new buildings in the south of the town. We expect it will take us around 18 months to complete this task before we start all over again!

The bible tells us that we should ‘not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God’ (Philippians 4v6). So, we pray in the context of our services for those we know, and don’t, who are unwell or in some of kind need.
Perhaps you have a prayer request – please contact our Vicar in confidence in the first instance.
