The Loughborough Churches Partnership (LCP)
The Good Shepherd is a member of the LCP, a fellowship of churches in the town of Loughborough, which confess the Lord Jesus Christ as God and Saviour according to the Scriptures, and therefore seek to fulfil together their common calling to the glory of the one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
The aim of the LCP is to:
a. Draw the churches of Loughborough into greater understanding and unity
b. Enable churches to have a united witness in the community and to serve it more effectively
The Loughborough Churches Partnership is made up of twenty church fellowships working together to plan activities and events that benefit the community and express and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus in practical, caring and life changing ways believing that Jesus himself was concerned with individuals spiritually, physically and relationally.
It has been in existence since 2008 when the churches came together for Hope08. Since its inception it has launched:
Healing on the Streets
Loughborough Food service with other projects in the pipeline
We rejoice in the fact that Loughborough is small enough to allow each congregation to play its part without being in competition with each other yet big enough for us to make a difference when we come together in united action.
